Schaffhausen: how many days do you have to register with the municipality?
You have 14 days from your arrival to register with the municipality.
From the law«Wer in eine Gemeinde zuzieht, in ihr umzieht oder aus der Gemeinde wegzieht, hat dies innert 14 Tagen der zur Führung des Einwohnerregisters zuständigen Stelle zu melden.»

If you come to work, you must register in any case before starting work (art. 12 para. 1 FNIA).
Missing the registration costs a fine. Anyone who fails to register their arrival within the deadline breaches the obligation and is punished with a fine — and negligence is enough, the law does not require intent. (art. 120 para. 1 let. a LStrI)
